my first craft fair experience // what's next

Urban Craft Uprising has come and gone! It was such a fun weekend and I was so blown away by every shopper that came by at the event. People were so kind, regardless of whether they purchased anything or not. I could never express how much each and every encounter meant to me. It is really scary to put your stuff out there but I am so glad I did.

I sold almost everything I made but more importantly I talked to a lot of people and learned what they were looking for. I am looking forward to sewing more toddler sizes for my next show,  Magnolia Summer Fest August 6th and 7th.

I couldn't have done any of this without the help of my husband and my brother. They supported me & helped me with everything along the way...I am so grateful.

It was Pride weekend and I loved seeing everyone walking through to shop after the parade. Seeing so many diverse people all coming together to celebrate equality and love is really cool and it makes me proud to be born and raised in Seattle where so many great people live.

I could write a book on all the things I learned this weekend but the most important thing was do what you can and don't stress about what you can't.

Now that the show is over my girl and I are going to take a week off of everything, hit up the park, celebrate my 5 year wedding anniversary and (if the weather cooperates) ride this giant, inflatable flamingo around the pool.

...and now a free download for you.
