I am so excited to share what I made for the Sew Caroline Here Comes the Fun fabric blog tour! As soon as I saw this fabric line I knew I had to make Elle something fun out of it. Lately Elle has been living in her Elsa dress so I knew exactly what my imaginative little girl needed, a cape!
For the outer fabric I used Block Stencils in Pop and made the bias tape with Tripixels in Loud. The lining is a perfectly matched stretch velvet from Joann's, along with some sparkly black tulle for the shoulders,
Unfortunately I couldn't get a picture of Elle in the cape but I think it is going to give the Elsa dress a run for its money.
I had intended to use one more of Caroline's fabrics in the construction of this cape but changed my mind last minute and decided to make Elle a quilted vest instead. The Sprayed Doodles in Noir fabric was just too perfect. Again, no cooperation in the photo department.
So there it is...some fun accessories for my girl.
The best part is there is a giveaway!
It includes: one bundle of Here Comes the Fun Fabrics and one Scissors bundle from Fiskars! Amazing right?
